Attention everyone! I and my friend @Keisok have been tracking this guy for about a week now. He's been leaving waves of abusive reviews daily for about nine days now. All of his used accounts have been deleted by Tom Fulp yesterday but the perpetrator remains tenacious even now. As you can see, the perp' always chooses edgy usernames. Their behavior is characterized by spamming the same review again & again with zero stars, choice "reviews" include:

All of these alts were prepped months in advance and so far none of them are less than two month's old, meaning that the perpetrator is not creating a new account with each deletion. In fact, the perp' will ditch an alt long before the reviews are deleted or the account is closed & start leaving abusive reviews mere hours after using the last account; sometimes seven hours or fourteen hours. These accounts are not simply blank either, the perpetrator will go to significant lengths to hide the fact that the alt is not a genuine user by adding submissions to the account's favorites, occasionally leaving positive reviews, writing a blog post & customizing the alts' avatars & icons. You'll notice that this user's number of reviews from each account increases excessively in succession with few exceptions. We believe this is because the user is compiling a list of movies to abuse & is reusing the list as he build's onto it. The other reason we believe this is because this user has a habit of reviewing all the same movies with each new account, like so:

You may have noticed that this user also has a habit of targeting high profile movies, typically those featured on the front page. We believe this is because the user is using these alts for the purpose of collecting whistle points for their personal account & knowing that he cannot get the reviews removed on his own, he is relying on public attention to help him in getting them removed quickly. This repetitive behavior has not gone unnoticed, however. As stated earlier, Tom Fulp has personally deleted the majority of the aforementioned used accounts. However many more are left remains a mystery.

It appears that this repeat offender is long from finished & will continue his onslaught for an unforseeable time. Follow my account & stay up to date on the situation.

Yep. I just turned Ad block off on Newgrounds to watch a video & this is what happened:

Avast blocked adware from infecting Chrome. Given what's been said by @TomFulp about being as careful as possible when picking advertisers for Newgrounds, I figured that it would be generally safe to turn adblock off here of all places but nope. Apparently when they got Adsense back, one of their ads attempted to attack my computer & Avast blocked it just now. I'm running my other anti-virus software just to be safe but I'm never doing that shit again, not even for my own sake. If this were any other website, I'd be avoiding it like the plague right now adblock or not.

I never got the concept of the scouting system... like ever. That's always just been some gatekeeping bullshit. If we really need quality control for the Art and Audio Portals, there should be Judgement phases for them just like the Flash Portal. At least then you and a chain of other people branching out from you don't suffer consequences for the one screw up you let into the fold. Why would I ever scout anybody if it could be so damning to my status? Why would I ever take that risk? Furthermore, why would I let in my own competition? This divide between haves & have nots in a place that prides itself on its free expression is really quite gay. It used to be that you could just join and get exposure quickly but now you have to "earn" the privilege of having the opportunity to get exposure & if you happen to be tangentially attached to a rule breaker, you can lose your privileges in spite of doing nothing wrong.

Now we get a choice between watching video and SWF files on the same submission.

Back when the video player was first implemented, I was against it mostly on the grounds that it opened up the floodgates to all kinds of shitty speed drawing videos, let's plays & other bullshit that clogged the system and ate up resources. There were even people who uploaded songs to the Flash portal rather than the audio portal because of the player.

The thing that got me the most was that nobody had to learn anything to upload a video file; you didn't need to know how to program anything, how to manage quality/compression settings, etc. Not only that but because they were uploading videos, that meant that the quality of an animation made in Flash could drop considerably because the author doesn't know how to set their compression settings to not suck.

There were two big excuses people gave for why this, despite all the drawbacks, was a good thing, which were A; it allowed for videos that weren't made in Flash to be uploaded at higher quality [with a whole 250 megs, I can upload a video in 480p instead of 360p!] & B; that Flash is gradually being phased out.

The only legitimate benefit was that it allowed people on phones to watch your video because their "smart" phone can't support SWF files. How ironic that a "smart" device can't support one of the oldest, most elementary & most used file formats on the internet. Even Youtube still uses Flash in the form of annotations.

However, things have changed; now you can upload both SWF & video files in tandem with the same submission, which means that if the video is poorly compressed, I can simply tab over to the lossless version. Now you don't have to worry about shit. Better yet, providing these options are at the author's discretion, which means I get to yell at them rather than the staff. Win/win.

Now then, since this has piqued my interest, can the video player support 2160p? 1440p?

Just a heads up, we're not discussing the conspiracy in which Willy Wonka makes chocolate out of children. That's just retarded.

No, rather we're going to bring up something more disturbing than that, because it's not as retarded. Also, yes, we'll be talking about the 1971 movie since that's the model around which every Willy Wonka conspiracy is built around and also because I never read the book.

Ever notice that in every instance where one of the kids discovers a Golden Ticket that Slugworth [or Slugworth's impersonator, Mr. Wilkinson, rather.] is always there to greet them with a bribe? This is a plot device that most people who like to form conspiracy theories around Willy Wonka often overlook, mostly because it doesnt directly contribute to the idea of Willy being a serial child murderer, although in retrospect, it very well could.

Anyways, how is it that he's always present at the discovery of each Golden Ticket? It's as if he knew ahead of time when, where and who the Golden Ticket would be discovered by. With the exception of Charlie, you never explicitely see anyone find a Golden Ticket. The closest you get to seeing a direct discovery is with Veruca's Golden Ticket, who had her Golden Ticket delivered to her by an employee who happened to be accompanied by Wilkinson, implying that he delivered the Goldent Ticket to the employee to later be given to Veruca.

Wilkinson even ambushes Charlie from the darkness in a manner that suggests that he was waiting for him just after Charlie obtains the Golden Ticket.

There's also the matter of the Alberto Minoleta who's Golden Ticket was verified to be a fraud. One must ask how he was able to fool anyone with a fruadulent document when only a few people know what one looks like. He would need a thorough example of what one looked like to make a believable imitation. One must also question how Golden Tickest are verified to begin with. None of Wonka's workers ever leave the factory, the Oompa Loompas live there. Does Willy fly out to whoever found it to verify it? One could argue that Wilkinson or someone else does it for him but that would imply that the Golden Ticket was planted on Alberto Minoleta, which merits asking "why?" Wonka's criteria is that his successor must be young enough to significantly outlive him, also because he's a pedo.

I will argue that the accurate distribution of the Golden Ticket is simply too much for even Wonka to control. There was no way of absolutely telling who would get Charlie's Golden Ticket or if Charlie was even able to obtain one [the money he found in the gutter was likely planted]. The implication is that, as the result of a mistake in shipping routes or some shit, a geniune Golden Ticket did land into the hands of the Alberto Minoleta and upon discovering that a Golden Ticket went to the wrong person, they retconned the mistake by paying off news sources to report that it was fraudulent and printed a new Golden Ticket. What I'm saying is that they're bad at their job, which is a lot more honesty than what you could realistically expect from a conspiracy theorist.

Now since it's established that Wilkinson works for Wonka as an impersonator of Slugworth and that it's heavily implied that the Golden Tickets were actually planted, that also implies something quite disturbing; that Wonka's men were scouting for children eligible of taking over his factory once he retires.

Now here's the big question of the day; why would Wonka, having his choice of virtually any kid in the world, elect a bunch of children he openly deemend too incompetent for his legacy?

Why the answer is simple of course; it was Charlie. It was always going to be Charlie no matter how hard Willy Wonka had to sweep away his own or his subordinate's fuck ups. See, the other kids never had potential. They were there merely to set an example of how not to act with every detail of their failures tailored to groom Charlie into the ideal specimen that would be suited to be Wonka's successor.
