MOST of the time, youtube can provide a stolen link, but not always. Be sure you all check and don't just post a youtube link as soon as you find it.

Also, there is no difference between the types of reports; stolen vs abusive. :)

...AND be sure you click that 'FLAG' icon and report it if you post it in the thread! THAT'S the way you get credit for reporting things!

I'll add that people shouldn't just start posting to the thread en mass, simply because there's not enough mods to keep up. There's stuff from weeks and weeks ago that's still not removed because it just gets drowned out.

Try to space out posts a bit and only do reasonably small quantities of songs per post so a mod seeing it should have time to clear the whole batch. If you post like 30 songs at once the entire bottom of your list will probably never get removed. There's no rules enforcing this or anything, it's just what I've observed through using the thread for a little while now. Huge lists are downright tiresome.

Also if anyone's not already familiar there's an app called shazam that can be invaluable in identifying songs, especially foreign language ones. But again, make sure to actually listen yourself and verify, as the app can make mistakes too when dealing with total obscurity. 99% of stolen songs are very easy to identify anyway.

Maybe a way of getting more of these pirated songs is to make separate catagories for genr or type of piracy and get certain mods for each thread.

Yeah, I'm already on it since a year, flagging and reporting stolen songs! all of those 12 year olds :/
