I'm drowning in my sorrow,
In my goals I have lost sight,
Desperate to escape my woes,
I resist my gradual plight,
It's so hard to swim,
Yet it's so easy to drown,
Each time I think I'll surface,
Reality pulls me down,
I am at lust for warmth,
The water has dissolved my will,
My grasp has become numb,
And my means have frozen still,
Despite my struggle,
My fears have swallowed me whole,
I am at mercy of the depths,
And the goddess of misery down below,
As we are quite acquainted,
The entity of misery and I,
I cannot be but the incarnation of horror,
If Tethys is the sea Goddess,
Then I am the Titan Oceanus,
If tear's made ocean's,
If weeping sowed creeks,
If sobbing summoned lake's,
Then I am the deep blue,
Cry me a river. Let me soothe your pain.
